Massage Therapy provides relief from pain in muscles and joints by applying pressure to increase circulation through the tissues
of the body. Manipulative movements help repattern the neuromuscular information in the joints and allow the body to regain optimal function. Injuries and repetitive strain patterns can be addressed
with specific attention to the soft tissue (muscle) and fascia (connective tissue surrounding the muscle). As the body is relieved of tension or pain, deep relaxation can bring in a sense of well
being, wholeness and easeful state of mind.
Prenatal Massage can be especially beneficial for pregnant women. At each stage of pregnancy the body is adjusting to stresses and changes.
Massage can help ease the transitions the body is going through. Low back pain, sciatica, neck and shoulder tension and fatigue are a few of the common complaints of pregnancy that can be addressed
with massage. With positioning and bolstering the client will feel comfortable, supported and able to relax.
